Obituary of Roy Martin, III
Roy Joseph Martin, III, 66, passed away on December 24, 2019 in his Little Elm home. Roy was born on October 24, 1953 in Newton, Kansas to Roy J. Martin and Darlene Conley Martin.
Roy was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and US Army National Guard, was a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he pursued a career for many years. He has been a cemetery representative at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery since 2000 when the cemetery opened.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Jean Martin of Arlington; son, David Edward Martin of Brandon, MS; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Martin, Zoe Martin, Karter Martin, Kawyer Martin and Khristian Martin; sister, Rhonda Clark of Little Elm and nephew, Wesley Jerome Clark.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 02, 2020 from 5-7:00PM at Forest Ridge Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 03, 2020 at 1:15pm at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Project https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
