I worked with Roy at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. He was a blessing to the staff, the funeral home directors, our wonderful volunteers and most importantly to the grieving families. Time and again, I would receive positive feedback about the way Roy conducted an interment service, treated a family or went the extra mile to make sure a funeral home director was able to provide correct information. Roy's work ethic set the standard. Always the first to arrive, he would set about getting our operation ready to take care of Veterans and their families. I surely looked forward to my visits with Roy and especially to his rousing "Howdy" when I got to work and the bright smile that accompanied the greeting. He was proud of his military service and his service with the National Cemetery Administration. Roy Martin made a difference and will be missed. Rest in peace Marine. My condolences are with his family and friends. Sincerely, Eldon A. Woodie, Col (Ret), former DFWNC Assistant Director.

Roy, working with you over the last 10 years as a PGR ride captain has been a pleasure. You always said hello and greeted us with a smile. Thank you for taking care of our Veterans on their last mission and for your service as a Marine. I can't be with you on your last mission but I will be there in spirit and prayer.

So extremely appreciative of the US Military Service (Marine Corps & Army) of Roy Martin to our country which continued on through his valuable service to the military families dealing with the loss & burial process of their loved ones at DFW National Cemetery. He was so professional and kind in his conduct of those duties, and will be so missed by his family and huge amount of lives he has touched in his life. Prayers go out to his family and uncountable friends for their loss. d Huffman, Army vet, DFWHG and PGR member
