Knowing Allen from the once a month golf journey I’d make down from Tulsa, I’ll miss his ability to be welcoming, funny and gracious during these days that Mile Magor and I’d spend would spend with Allen. I know that we won’t be able to find anyone who could replace the hours of joy and entertainment that Allen so easily supplied.
You’ll be greatly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to be able to know you.

Allen was a great athlete at WDHS; Lettered in every sport except Tennis I guess, which paralleled Track. More, Allen was a leader on the field and off; calm and kindhearted to everyone. Our loss is Heaven's gain; May we all trust Christ as our saviour and serve him together in eternity.

My condolences to the Cummins family. I had the pleasure of playing golf with Allen several times in the past few years. Allen joined our regular group, The Drunk Rhinos after meeting him at Riverside in Arlington in late 2014. Allen was a frequent player in our group and played with us almost every weekend. Allen and I were frequently paired together and cart partners most of the time. I will always treasure the time that we were able to spend together on the golf course and will miss his smile and companionship.

I met Allen in September of 1976. He and I went to aircraft mechanic school together. He was a very sharp man, he was the top of our class at Aero Tech. Later in 1980, I went to work for Allen while he was director of maintenance for Chaparral Airplanes. I had the pleasure of working there from 1980 to 1988. I can tell you the success of Chaparral Airlines was due in part to Allen. When I sent on an assignment for Chaparral, I wouldn't have lasted no time if it had not been for the advice I got from him. I have so many good memories from our A&P school days, days of keeping those airplanes flying at Chaparral, a school we attended in Montreal Canada seeing that city from end to end as well the countryside. Trying to order a pepperoni pizza in a restaurant where nobody spoke English. He was fun to be around. But when it came to those airplanes, he was all business. Things I have learned from Allen helped me throughout my career. Prayers for his family. RIP in my friend.

Allen was one of the best bosses I ever had. He was always willing to listen, had sound advice based on his years of experience how to handle a situation, and was always fair and objective. I will miss him and his knowledge greatly. He was an asset to Envoy and aviation in general, to think of all the people that moved to their destinations safely under his watch of his 38 year career is remarkable.

One of God's best is now playing the greatest golf course of them all. Anyone who spent time with Allen is a better person because of it. Allen helped make the Drunk Rhino Golf League a fun, competitive & friendly environment for everyone and in his honor our annual Club Championship will now be titled "The Allen Cummins Memorial Championship" and the Rhinos will make donations to the Children's Medical Center & the "I can Still Shine" Foundation. Thank you Allen for being such a great teammate & friend.
