Gail, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Stan through tennis when you’ll lived in New Braunfels. We lived just a few blocks away from each other. We played on the same team captained by Max Diamond. He was much a great guy and enjoyed playing with him. I saw him at sectionals in New Braunfels last year and this year as wel. It was great to have seen him again. He told me about health issues he had, but, felt good. He was as usual always with a smile and excited about the sectionals. Even though we were far apart I always thought about him, especially when he sent out emails. I will certainly miss he, especially at sectionals. May God be with you all always, especially during this unfortunate time and may he RIP. Bobby Farias

I will miss Stan very much. We became friends over 40 years ago and it is a friendship that I was fortunate to have. Stan had a" bigger than life" quality about him that was truly unique.
Although we lived far apart these last few decades, his emails made you feel like you were there with him. Those emails were a inspiration to get- and you got the real Stan - someone who cared deeply for his family, friends and country.
May God Bless your family and the memory of Stan Coffee

I am so sad to hear of Stan's passing. He took me under his wing when he was a senior and I was a freshman in McCamey and I never forgot. My thoughts and prayers go to Mike and Stan's family.

Cara,
Thank you so much for sharing this sad news regarding your dad. Our deepest condolences to your family, especially to your mom who is in our thoughts daily. We were roommates when we started working for Pan Am, and memories of our time together were simply the best. You and Lee were blessed to have such great parents who loved each other, you, and the little girls so very much. May these memories bring you and those who loved him solace as you go through this sad time in your lives.

Although I only got to know Stan a few years ago, I think he and I developed a special bond. He became "Big Stan", and I was "Little Stan". He had a larger than life capacity for laughter and enjoying the company of others. It was apparent to me how much he enjoyed his life and how much he loved his family and his country. I will cherish the numerous conversations we had. My only regret is that I didn't get to know him longer.

I’m so saddened to hear this, and can only imagine how all of the family’s hearts are broken. Praying that God will remain close to you as you go forward without such an important part of your lives. If there are no Tennis courts in Heaven now, I’m sure Stan is using his Salesmanship Skills on God to consider immediate installations and formations of teams. Praying for your grieving hearts.
