Life Legacy Haltom City -- Roy Franklin Carpenter passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. Service: A private memorial service will be held by the family. Roy was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Crockett. He was an Army veteran and loved to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Hubert F. Carpenter, Rosie Irene Cogswell. Survivors: His daughter, Melissa Carpenter; stepdaughter, Debbie Keller; stepson, James Kirby and wife, Kim; brothers, Joe Carpenter and wife, Valeria, and Ray Carpenter and wife, Flapper; sister, Sue Allen and husband, Gene; grandsons, Logan Shoemaker, Jeremie Keller and Jake Kirby; granddaughters, Pamela Stevenson and Mikaela Kirby; and many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
