Obituary of John Deafenbaugh

Life Legacy BEDFORD -- John Deafenbaugh, 60, of Bedford passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2013, in Bedford after a long, courageous battle. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Memorial Park Funeral Services in North Richland Hills. Burial: will follow in Smithfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Neuro Fitness Foundation in Euless or Martin United Methodist Church in Bedford. He was born Jan. 5, 1953, to Don and Vera Deafenbaugh in Tucson, Ariz. John was preceded in death by his father, Don Deafenbaugh Sr. Survivors: Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Kathy of Bedford; son, Josh Deafenbaugh and his wife, Jennifer, of Denton; mother, Vera Deafenbaugh; brother, Don Deafenbaugh Jr. and his wife, Joann; and nephews, Joe and Shaun Deafenbaugh and their families.
