Obituary of Helen Roberts Von Gundy Spitzer

Life Legacy Helen Elizabeth Roberts Von Gundy Spitzer passed away on February 23, 2014, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was 91 years old. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Anna Roberts (Sober), her sister, Glenna Robinson, her first husband, George P. Von Gundy, and her second husband, Curtis Spitzer. Helen is survived by her son, Lyle Von Gundy of Aurora, CO, her daughter, Lorilee Bland of Fort Worth, TX, her granddaughter, Lindsey Sheguit (Brian) of Grapevine, TX, her grandson, Clint Bland of Bedford, TX, her great granddaughter, Gabriella Sheguit, her sister, Irene McDonald of San Diego, CA, her cousin, La Verne Jensen of Marina del Rey, CA. and several nieces and nephews. Helen was born in Pueblo, Colorado. She graduated from Pueblo Central High School and attended Pueblo Junior College. Helen worked for the CFI, and as a school secretary in District 60. In retirement, Helen was a docent at Rosemont, volunteered at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center, and enjoyed playing in several bridge groups. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Pueblo. Interment will be at the Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo, Co.
