Obituary of Ricky Lynn Carter

Ricky Lynn Carter, 67 of Haltom City, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 in North Richland Hills. He was born to the late Bunk and Frances Ross Carter on September 15, 1952 in Grand Saline, Texas. Ricky served our country in the United States Airforce from 1971 to 1975. He served with the 301st Fighter Wing Airforce Reserves from 1975 to 1995 and was a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Civil Service at Carswell Airforce Base from 1975 to 1995. He worked at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing from 1995 to 2009 and was union president at the Machinist Union Local 2174 from 2004 to 2009. He loved old cars and computers, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by so many who loved him and knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Carter; his daughter, Brandy Scivally and her husband, Rob; his son, Michael Carter and his wife, Chellie; his grandchildren, Jade and Caleb Scivally, Dakota Carter, Tiffany Martin, and Rena Cutler; his great grandchildren, Kelean, Gunner, Maelynn, and Connor; his brothers, James M. Carter, Randy Carter and his wife, Marybeth, Trutis “T. C.” Carter and his wife, Debbie; his sister-in-law, Deloris Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, O. J. “Bunk” Carter and Frances J. Carter; his brother, Wallace M. Carter; his sister, Juanita Woods; his sister-in-law, Teresa Carter, and two nieces and one nephew. A memorial service to celebrate Ricky’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home Memorial Park Chapel, North Richland Hills, Texas.
