Obituary of Jurgen Reiner Shepard
Jurgen Reiner (Smiley) Shepard , age72, of North Richland Hills died peacefully Thursday November 7th surrounded by family after a courageous battle against cancer.
Mr. Shepard is survived by his wife, Janice of 46 years , two children: Jeffery Scott Shepard, Julie Kay Seidel and husband John . He also leaves behind a grandson, Cody Lane Seidel.
Smiley is a veteran of the Vietnam War serving 2 tours. He grew up in nearby Colleyville, the only son of Ronald and Hildegard. Smiley retired from the Army after 33 years in 2007 to pursue his other passions of traveling and fishing.
Serivce will be held Wednesday November 20, 1:45pm, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
