Obituary of Gary Lane Malone

Memorial services for Gary Lane Malone (70) of Hurst will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 8525 Mid-Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills. In lieu of flowers, Gary’s family would ask guests to consider donating to Feed the Children, an international non-profit organization that Gary supported for many years. 

Inurnment will occur on a later date at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery during a private ceremony for Gary’s family. Gary passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Grapevine. He was born October 7, 1949 to Gene and Deloris Malone in Fort Worth.

Gary proudly served his country as a weapons specialist in the United States Army, before returning home to the Fort Worth area where he enjoyed numerous diverse and interesting careers. He provided abundantly for his children whom he loved dearly. He was a devout Christian who enjoyed working with his hands and spending every available moment with his grandchildren. 

Left behind to cherish his memory are his son Justin Malone and wife Katelyn of Hurst, daughter Anne Hillin and Husband Patrick of Arlington, brother Gene Malone Jr. of Alba, Texas, sister Marcia Walter of Watauga and grandchildren Molly, Miles, Mason, Max, Harrison, Reagan and Preston.  Gary is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Malone.
