Obituary of Jon Andrew Mills
Jon Andrew Mills, 41, passed away on October 19th in Fort Worth, TX. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 10:30 am at Fellowship of the Park (formerly First Baptist Church of Bedford). A graveside service will be held on November 16th at 1:00 pm at Purdy Cemetery in Purdy, OK.
Jon was born on March 24, 1978 in Fort Worth, TX to Lana and David Mills. An avid Horned Frog fan, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Texas Christian University in 2000. After graduation, he went into the commercial building materials industry where he held several positions in Sales and Account Management. Jon enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, and gardening, but his biggest passion was playing the guitar. He was inspired and influenced by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy, and most of all Stevie Ray Vaughan. Jon achieved many things in life, but nothing meant more to him than his children Drew, Lucas and Maddie. He was a believer in Christ and is at home with his Lord and Savior. His family is so very proud to have shared life with him.
Jon is survived by his parents Lana and David Mills; his former partner, Hilda Gallegos and their three children, Drew, Lucas and Maddie; his sister Kari Mills-Corbin; niece, Riley Corbin, and many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Jon is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oleta and Fred Mills, maternal grandparents, Bill and Irma Jean Conner, two Aunts: Kay Busey, Jan Conner, three uncles: Wayne Mills, Butch Satterwhite, Bill Conner Jr; cousin; Jess Horstman, and his beloved German Shepherd, Hendrix.
