Obituary of Lucas Joseph Barker
At approximately 5:50pm October 13, 2019 cst our Luke Barker decided to go be with the Lord after fighting one inspirational fight against brain cancer. He was given 4-6 months to live almost 23 months ago. Luke was born on March 21, 1975 in Euguene, Oregon. Luke attented Winston Churchill High School where he was a star wrestler. Luke was a Navy Veteran who proudly served for 13 years while also making the all Navy Wrestling Team. Luke loved being an American and was so proud of his service. Luke was one of the best Armors that the Seal Teams were lucky to have. His knowledge for weapons was impressive and his dedication to his craft was even more impressive. Luke even built Chris Kyle his rifle because of how amazing Luke was to work with in the Seal Teams. Luke is a voracious reader who loves to teach, coach and had an amazing servants heart. He loved deeply and always put others first. He had 4 daughters who he loved so deeply and was so proud of. His love for his fiancé was inspiring and he fought until the end.
Luke is survived by his Father Michael Barker, Mother Kris Barker, Brother Eric Barker, Daughters Victoria, Courtney, Kyrsten and Isabella Barker. He is also survived by his fiance Marisa Oates. Luke was loved by so many and his future was just beginning as he planned to marry and settle his roots in Texas. He will be deeply missed and the hole in our hearts will never be filled. Luke was one of a kind and there will never be a day where he is not remembered. Until we are reunited again, We love you Luke. Rest easy.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 1, 10:30am at Forest Ridge Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, Texas 76182.
Interment will follow at 1pm at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemtery.
