Just know that if I called you “my friend”, I considered you my family. From my classmates at the Little Red School House and my graduating class of 1972.

So, thank you to my family;

My gorgeous wife, Diane for standing by my side, you are my strength, my rock, my eternal companion. I love you Di.

To my baby girl, Jennifer, continue to stay strong and know that I will always love you.

To my favorite son, Stephen. You always came through for me when I needed you, a million “thank yous” will never be enough.

To my Berkley, you are the love of my life, from the moment you were “Jacee Lynn” and until we meet again. Keep your eyes fixed on heaven. I am so proud of the woman you are becoming; you are such a sweet example to those around you. You could not have been more perfect in my eyes! Remember all the fun memories we had together. Papa loves you Berk. Many kisses.

For those friends I call family, I’d like to say a special thanks to;

Dr. Douglass Hyde for giving me the second chance at life. You were sent by God and because of you, I was able to spend a second lifetime with my wife, because of you I had the opportunity to watch my baby girl become a wife and a mother, because of you I was afforded the chance to gain a son(-in-law), because of you I was able to cherish every moment with my granddaughter. Thank you, Sir!

Tommy McMillian for always picking me up when I was down; Randy Chennault for a lifelong friendship; Roxie Harford for the years of laughter; Weldon & Paula Couch, Rodney & Seliece Watson, Jay & Debby Churchwell, and Belinda Cobb for your support and love; Charles & Jane Bebee (Scoops and Jane-o) for being a blessing from God; Patsy Strawn for showing me what strength looks like…you are truly an example; Greg & Labrenda Koch for being my third-wheel when I was courting Di…you were just the best sport and a joy to have around; Jessica (Koch) Morin for the best conversations and keeping me updated on the economy; Tim & Kim Ewton for being the flower girl at our wedding and the best private care I could never have paid for; Tiffany Morris for always being here when I (we) need you; Marilyn Boykin and Ronnie Green for being great private nurses…y’all really knew how to take care of all of my needs even when I wasn’t easy; Crystal Combs for being there and guiding my family through the final days…you are so strong; Sam Houdyshell for playin’ hooky from school to hang with me and the family; and Sue Garcia for keeping it real with me and always giving me the naked truth.

To my “Chinese Wonder”, Mia Hedgecoke and her family, Ed, Melinda, Brock, Bren, Micah and Lane for loving me unconditionally and allowing me to be your “Papa Terry”.

Mia, I am fine! I want you to know that I found my legs and some pants! Papa Terry loves you Baby. Kisses.

And to all my many friends and family, I have always loved you. I’ll see you when you run towards home plate.
