Obituary of Boyd Lee Corcoran
Boyd Lee Corcoran, 73 of North Richland Hills, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born to the late George Francis Corcoran and Cleo Bell Walker Corcoran on December 13, 1945.
Boyd proudly served our country in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War and being a member a LRRP for the 4th Infantry Division. He was an accomplished electrical engineer, working with and development of an array of SATCOM Communications Systems for aircraft. Boyd worked for E-Systems, Raytheon, and retired from L-3. He enjoyed traveling and traveled the world. He also enjoyed snow skiing, sky diving, scuba diving and astronomy. Boyd was an avid animal lover and adored his dog, “Lil-bit.” Above all, what made him the happiest was spending as much time as he could with his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy; his son, Bill Corcoran; his daughter, Charlotte Zagame; his brothers, James Patrick Corcoran, Donald Walker Corcoran, and David Corcoran; his grandchildren, Holly, Darcie, Christian, Liam, Isabella, Alexander, Amelia and Evan; his great grandchildren, Aaliyah, Atiyana, and Aidan; and numerous extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, Ronald Smith; and also by his sister, Kathy Brabenec.
A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for Noon, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the residence of Jimmy and Bonnie Walker
125A County Rd 601, Wingate,Texas 79566. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Shep Cemetery, Shep, Texas.
