Obituary of Lynda Jean Preston

Preston, Lynda Jean, 74, passed away on July 11, 2019 in her Irving home surrounded by her family.  Lynda was born on January 13, 1945 in Cooper, Texas to Earl Morris Hooten and Velma Mae (South) Hooten.  She was a longtime resident Irving and the owner of Cottage Beauty Salon for many years. 

Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Preston, parents, Earl and Velma Hooten, brother, Wesley Hooten and sister, Cora Lee Price.

She is survived by her son, Larry Preston and wife, Cathy of Arlington, TX; daughter, Carol Brooks of Nevada, TX., Briggitt Barbosa of Irving, TX., Sherry Binkert and husband, Danny of Grapevine, TX., and Brandie Preston of Irving, TX.; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Edna Earl Hornsby of Forney, TX., and Sarah Casey of Conroe, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Irving Elks Lodge, 2015 N. Britain Rd., Irving, TX 75061 from 1:00PM-4:00PM

A private family burial will take place at New Klondike Cemetery in Klondike, TX.
