I worked for Buddy for several years. He was a wonderful boss and a good man. He often gave advice and surprisingly, would ask me what I thought at times. I remember him asking me what I thought of Carol when he first started seeing her. I told him she would be the one he would stay with. She wasn't someone that wanted to benefit from what he had built in life, but someone who would work beside him to help him continue to succeed. She was a fabulous designer who loved the business and showed her love for Buddy as well. I was always amused by how smoothly she handled some of his moods and you could see how much she loved him. He finally found the person he was looking for in life. My thoughts go out to Carol in her loss and to Buddy's children David, Carol and Lisa who I also had the pleasure to meet and work with. Buddy will be missed by many.

I worked for Buddy back in the late 80's into 90's and he taught me to watch true intent. I didn't take his advice at first. I must say he warn me I wouldn't be happy, and when I wasn't he told me I had taken a wrong turn. That I couldn't live with superficial but find someone who gave unconditional love and trust. To find a career that I felt good about. That is when I did take his advice. Now nearly thirty years later I never got to tell him thanks. Found the unconditional partner I wanted twenty five years ago and he still stands by me. Created my own business that I have already been able to afford to retire and enjoy the important things in life. My family. I hope he got that too.

I first met Buddy in the 80s at hus flower shop on beford-euless when it on brookside, and down the street from the US Marine Corps recruting station in the Shady Oaks shopping center back then. He was a kind gentle man commensurate with the profession he pioneered. And extended me resepct and courtesy when we spoke. I was a long term customer for that time had an account with him most of it. I became friends with David while he worked there. The Bice family added many wonderful menories to my life. I only hope I did the same for them.

My husband John and I met Buddy and Carole on our way to Portugal for a cruise to Barcelona. He was friendly and outgoing and it was fun getting to know them as a couple. His business association with flowers was legend and I knew the name Bice before I ever met him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Carole and his family. He will be missed.
