Obituary of Perry Harrison

Perry Carmon Harrison passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2019. Perry was born to Edward Irvin and Marie Harrison in Sherman, TX. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 and served in Vietnam. He received a purple heart as well as many other metals, certificates and recognitions, and earned the rank of 1st Sergeant. He traveled to various locations throughout his career, including Alaska and Germany. He retired after 24 years of service. After retiring from the Army Perry was employed by Trinity Industries for 18years in the security field. He married twice. He and his first wife Jeanie (Bottoms) Pace had two daughters; Heather Goforth and Lorri Parks. Later he was blessed with a second marriage to his caring wife Sandra (Vowell) Harrison and together they raised two children; Christopher and Brittney Morgan. Perry is preceded in death by his father and mother, Edward and Marie Harrison. He is survived by his wife Sandy, his children, Heather, Lorri, Chris, and Brittney, 7 grandchildren and a great grandchild. He is also survived by his two brothers Edward Joe and Floyd Irvin and sister Irva Marie. The viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 16th, from 6-8 pm at the Forest Ridge Funeral Home at 8525 Mid Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, TX 76182. The memorial service will begin at the same location, held the following day, Wednesday, April 17th, beginning at 12noon. A Procession will leave the funeral home at 1:00pm and the military service will begin at 2:15 at the DFW National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75211. After he is laid to rest we invite you to join us at the American Legion #379 at 1245 N Industrial Blvd. Bedford, TX 75211 at 3:00.
