Brother Don,
I will always cherish and remember the weekly bull sessions we had on the phone the past few months including the last one only a few days ago when you were too weak to hold the phone yourself so Kelly held the phone for you while we shared a few last words.
You were an unselfish mentor and friend to several of us young, green IBM chargers, eg., Myron, George, me, as we pursued our IBM careers trying to follow in your footsteps. Thanks!
As I expected, you fought one hell of a fight. I will continue to think about you every single day my dear friend...the fight is over..rest well.

We join many of our friends in the Lone Star Corvette Club in mourning the loss of Don Davis. He was a good friend who loved racing. He promised us if we came out, he would show us the ropes. Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity.
He will be missed: his hugs, his encouragement, his laugh.
Our condolences to all the family.

Don a great boss but more importantly a great friend. Such wonderful memories of flying my small plane camping and hunting pheasants with our IBM friends. Don was the life of the party at our annual trips to my farm in South Dakota. I and my sons have such great memories of this wonderful man. We will miss you but treasure the memories.

Don was always generous of spirit and a joy to be around. I loved his sense of humor and will always remember that he took care of me for an entire day after recovering from surgery when we watched movies for eight hours straight. I will miss him. Blessings to his loving family.

Don was our best friend. We loved him and will miss him dearly. Some of our best memories of Don are traveling and exploring new places with he and Kelly or pushing hard to get to the host cities of our road racing events then settling down and visiting with all our friends-drinking, eating, laughing, listening to Don and Gary sharing old stories and just loving life being together.

Don never met a stranger, and one of the most congenial persons I've ever know. Don had the ability to be a listener, mentor and role model with a compassionate understanding of everyone he met. We will miss you!
