To the Harness family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss of your loved one. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to put an end to all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from the Bible give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

I met Bob at Grand Prairie Airport where I hangar my airplane. He was a great guy to chat with. Those chats did became some very animated discussions sometimes. Enjoyed his company always. Will miss.
God Bless and keep you. Ken

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers for Gloria and the rest of the Harness family.
Bob was a truly unique person, always had a smile and a joke. I reflect on the great times we had together with great fondness.
His obituary does an outstanding job of capturing the essence of Bob.
I am proud to have been his friend!
Peace old buddy, peace.

Bob was like a father to me, a great father-in-law and wonderful Pop Pop. He never met a stranger and had a great since of humor. I felt blessed to be a part of his family. I’m sure he’s in heaven telling everyone one of his many stories.

When I was 4 years old my dad took me to the Tule River where it runs through Springville, CA. From the small bridge that crosses he had us jump in and learn to feel and float the current all the while saying I got you. From there it was a trip to the mountains, the trails, the Kings Canyon and Kings River at least twice a month, teaching and telling us to jump in, feel the current and “I got you” and of course always pointing at the signs posted on the way up and down the mountain telling us to “look for Chief ‘Falling Rock’ and his cousin...”
From the time I can remember learning to ski at Lake Success and Bass Lake to diving in to body surf the Pacific, he was there. I had the opportunity to play baseball, hike, fish, mountain / rock climb, river raft, hunt, build cars, learn music, learn to fly airplanes and helicopters and in the most basic way learn compassion for others because of him and to "feel the current of things. My dad knew and taught what was right, made us a priority much more than most and wanted better for us, it is why we moved to Texas, back to Cali then once again to Texas.
He left us lastnight, he was not the man he used to be, but is now most definitely in a better place and at peace. I miss him already but can hear him say “I got you Jim”. Thanks Dad, I got you.
