Very sad to learn of her passing. Knew her long ago at Victoria Junior College, both of us taking secretarial courses. Was one of her bridesmaids and met her lovely family. She had a sweet, wonderful spirit.

So very sorry to hear of my sweet cousin's passing. I have many fond memories of her laugh and her smile. We spent a lot of time together as teenagers. I am glad I recently connected with her a few years ago. She was a beautiful person.

I was sorry to just learn of my Cousin Susan's passing. I have fond memories of our childhood visits at my house playing in my yard on the swing set. RIP Susan, you died way too young.

I had the pleasure of working with Susan back in the days of Young & McCoy Architects. She was a happy, joyful addition to the office. She was a loving daughter and sister to her family. God Bless her soul and I wish her an eternal rest with the dear Lord. May your smile brighten your dear father's eternal rest.

Sister Susan will be missed so much. She was not only a great Sister, but a great friend and a great person. She was a part of us and shall always be.
As the Chaplain said at the service, "She is now in a brand new life with a wonderful new body complete with wings and flying in joy. It appears that she has left us, but is still with us looking down upon us from heaven."
She was a true fighter and a survivor that did it smiling and in a happy way. She enjoyed having fun and laughing.
When she was a teen in High School, she endured a traumatic health ordeal in which we almost lost here back then. She battled thru it with the help from God and recovered to have a happy life. She had another chance.
There were many great times to remember, such as seeing her when I came down from college for visits and summers. I recall once while in college, she was in Galveston for the Mardi Gras weekend and she called me up to come join her. So I gladly did, hopped in my car and went to meet her there and we had a fantastic memorable time.
Then after graduating college, I also worked with here in the family business and this was wonderful to see her every day and to work together. Also on weekends, we would sometimes be together at dinners and entertainment events. Another unforgettable trip was when we went to Vegas for a long weekend to enjoy the sites together.
When she moved away to Fort Worth, we were happy for her, for she had found her soul mate and a City that was good for her. Chris has been by her side and has taken good care of here ever since.
I wish I could have seen her more often, but she still visited the family in Victoria, for holidays and came to see me a few times in Corpus and Port Aransas. She was always happy to see us and vice versa. We always enjoyed going out to dinners. There were also great times together at the family reunions.
She battled thru cancer staying positive, happy and still smiling. She is certainly an inspiration and one to look up to. I wish I could have seen her more, but will really cherish all the times together. She will always be in my heart, prayers and memories. She was still too young to go, will always miss her, but she is now in a better place up in heaven. God Bless Susan!!

I will always have great memories of my sister and the good times that we had over the years. Since she was my older sister, (by 2 years) she looked out for me in a kind and gentle way. When we were real young my Grandfather saddled up a burro and put us in the saddle and would lead the burro around the pasture. I must have been about 3 and Susan was about 5 years old. It was a lot of fun as the old burro would sometimes get stubborn and lock its legs up and not want to move. My Grandfather would then get mad at the burro and swish its backside to get it going. Finally it would go after a lot of kicking its sides and slapping it on the rump. It was both a lot of fun and funny at times. We sometimes had to hold on when it took off.
Next we rode horses in the pasture and Susan got bucked off. We thought that she had got hurt bad, but she was just a little shaken and bruised but Thank God she was alright.
Susan and I raised steers in the livestock show every year through high school and it was great as we worked together to exercise the animals by walking them around the pasture, pulling them with the tractor. It kept us busy and out of trouble through our high school years. We bonded well as brother and sister helping each other in a common cause.
Later after I got out of college I came back to work with my Father in the family business and so did Susan and it was great that we worked together for several years as we all contributed to making the business a success for the family.
As we each grew up and became settled with each of our spouses and new family obligations, we grew apart a little as we had our own lives to live.
She moved off to Fort Worth area but would return to visit Mom and the family regularly. I was always very glad to see her and she always was cheerful.
However, I always had Susan in my thoughts and prayers especially when I had heard that she had come down with the cancer. We felt for her as we knew that she was going through this terrible ordeal. Now she has come to her eternal rest with no more suffering through this terrible illness. May God Rest Her Soul! My thoughts and prayers will always be with her and I will keep her close in my heart forever, as I will always remember my wonderful Sister for the beautiful person that she really was. I will miss her dearly! as she is now in Heaven!
