Obituary of Anna Mae Thiel

Anna Mae Elmendorf was born May 21, 1927 to Christopher and Anna Elmendorf in Evansville, Indiana.

Anna married Darwin F. Thiel June 29, 1948.  Their marriage produced 2 children, son, Terry Lee Thiel and daughter, Sharon Ann Thiel.  Five grandchildren, Chris Thiel, Justin Thiel, and Laura Thiel, Michael Ward, Ryan Ward, and eight great-grandchildren.

Anna Mae and Darwin were successful Real Estate entrepreneurs and were able to retire early in life.  They took this time to travel extensively across the continental United States. After Darwin’s passing, Anna returned to the workforce and continued this until the age of 85.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband Darwin Thiel; son, Terry Thiel; grandson, Ryan Ward; granddaughter, Laura Thiel; as well as her parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
