Julie Joy Boyd, 55, passed away at home Friday, September 7th after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer. Her loving family was by her side.
Julie was born March 6th, 1963 in Sheldon, IA. She grew up in Sioux Falls, graduating from Washington High School in 1981. Over the years Julie and her family made several moves allowing Julie to use her gift of building and designing multiple beautiful homes. With her attention to detail and design, several professional contractors marveled at the homes after completing Julie’s blueprints.  Julie and her family have settled in Colleyville, TX for the past 13 years. Julie has always had an open door for family and friends.
Julie took pride in serving her Lord and being involved with her church on projects such as Embrace Grace, Freedom Ministry, and Home Makeovers. Julie was a member of Lake Cypress Springs Tall Tree Home Owner’s Board of Directors. She enjoyed spending time at her lake home where she was blessed with many cherished friendships. Julie also looked forward to meeting with her quilting family, The Raveled Thread Quilting Bee, and her creative talent was reflected in the many beautiful quilts she completed.
Julie’s commitment to the Lord, her family and friends, and all of humanity was evident in her daily actions. She influenced and inspired each life she touched and was a woman of grace, strength and pure love. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
