Obituary of James Lowell Embrey

James (Jim) Embrey transitioned from this world to be with his Heavenly Father on July 30, 2018 at the age of 85 with family by his side.

Funeral service 1:00 pm Friday at Airport Freeway Church of Christ, Euless.  Visitation Thursday 5:30 – 7:30 at the Forest Ridge Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd. NRH.  Interment, Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville.

James was born February 26, 1933 to Sam and Evna Embrey.  James was a Navy veteran serving in the Korean War.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 27 years of service.  He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Jim was loved by all who knew him.  His kind and generous personality enamored everyone he encountered. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 57 years Ruby, and son, Tom Embrey.

James is survived by his son and daughter in law, Gregory and Maria Embrey; grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Ashley and Amy; great grandchild, Addison; and many other beloved relatives.
