The only thing we loved more than the raw fish was the rice wine.

My precious Grandson, Cary, was a lively, inquisitive little boy. We laughed a lot about little boy silly things. I went right along and was silly with him! We had so much fun. He stayed with me sometimes and went up to the church with me while I worked in the office. He was well known to the staff in the early 2000s. He had a young friend with him occasionally. He and his friend liked to help the Children's Minister, Miss Linda (Smith), prepare for Vacation Bible School, moving furniture and carrying things from one place to another. When the VBS started, they were in line to register. Cary's little friend told everyone proudly "We know Miss Linda Personally!" Miss Linda was gracious enough to indulge their pride at knowing her "personally!" Cary loved the fun activities at VBS and at Children's camp. Serious study was another story! When he graduated from College and went to work, he would often text me when he wanted to talk seriously about spiritual matters. I pray my responses helped him to stay in touch with the Lord Jesus. Farewell, Precious boy! We will see you soon!
My husband, Paul, loved his grandson and loved taking him hunting and to target shooting. He passed away when Cary was still young. Paul loved to go up to Birdville High School to pick him and take him home. Paul and Cary could talk all they wanted because I was driving so Paul and Cary could talk. It was a mutual admiration society! Cary loved his PaPaw.
