Obituary of Lucas Alvin Taylor
Lucas Alvin Taylor, 39, loving father, devoted husband and caring son peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday June 27th, 2018 at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Lucas was born on July 5th, 1978 to Lynn Douglas Taylor and Michelle Lurine Taiclet in North Richland Hills, TX.
He was a long time member of Iron Workers Local 263 and spent many years working at Precast Erectors. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, one of his proudest moments was helping with the construction of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. While a foreman with Precast, he was also involved with the renovation of TCU's Amon G. Carter Football Stadium in Ft. Worth, TX.
Being an ironworker was his job, but being creative with his hands was what he loved to do. Gifts from him were often made with metal scraps he gathered from various job sites and locations, across the United States. Crosses, butterflies, flowers and Christmas ornaments were among his favorite things to make and will be cherished by family and friends, for years to come.
He also had a great fondness for music of all kinds. He loved Rock and Roll, Classical, Country and many others, but the most important thing, to him, was what the music said to him. If you spent any time with Lucas, you were definitely going to hear lots of Chris Stapleton and Metallica.
Lucas will forever be remembered by his wife and best friend, Angela Taylor, and his two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kassie. They will continue to live life by Lucas' favorite saying, "Keep Moving Forward". He is also survived by his father Lynn Taylor; mother Michelle Taiclet; and brother Samuel Lynn Taylor.
Services will be conducted at Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills, TX 76182 at 9:00am on Thursday July 5th, followed by his interment at Spring Creek Cemetery, located at the corner of Hwy. 51 and Spring Creek Rd., Weatherford, TX 76087 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of cards and flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local Carter Blood Care Center.
