Obituary of Frances Rogers
Frances Geraldine Rogers passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018 at the age of 92 in North Richland Hills, Texas.
A private service and burial will be held for family at 11:30 a.m. on June 13th, 2018, at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Geraldine was born on May 22, 1926 in Temple, Oklahoma. The family moved to Lockney, Texas where she grew up and graduated from high school. She moved to Wichita Falls shortly afterward to be with her sister where she met and married Leo Rogers on December 31, 1946. They were married for 57 years until his death in 2004. Geraldine worked in the motor freight industry for many years, working for several different companies in various roles retiring as the branch manager for Mistletoe Freight in Wichita Falls. She was a life long member of the Church of Christ. Geraldine will be remembered for her unselfish devotion to family and her strong faith in God. She brought much joy to her family and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Rogers; her parents, Ernest and Dollie Stapp; brothers Clifton Stapp and wife Nina; Clyde Stapp and wife Mable; Ottest Stapp and wife Juanita; Raymond Stapp; Elmer Stapp and wife Nita; Louis Ray Stapp; sisters Lorena Shackleford and husband Elmer; Hazel Stapp; Ruth Golleher and husband George; daughter-in–law, Carla Rogers.
Survivors: Sons, Jimmy Rogers; Scot Rogers and wife Patti; grandchildren: Nicole Tarin, Cody Rogers and wife Crystal, Morgan Bufe and husband Brent, and Madison Rogers; great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces.
