Jack’s life touched many people. One person, my brother John, was one of them. John Catrett loves Jack Wisdom like a brother. Jack’s love of Jesus Christ is the reason for my brothers love of Jesus and my mothers love of Jesus and my love for Jesus. Jack is the reason all three of us have an eternal home with Jesus. I am eternally thankful for Jack, Rita and his family.
Jack’s funeral service was beautiful example of his life “Pointing people to Jesus”. The example of his wife Rita, and all his children pointing people to Jesus in sad and happy times was beautifully done. I pray for Jack’s family peace and comfort during this time adjusting to life without Jack and that we all remember Jack’s love of Jesus by telling people about Jesus. God bless the Wisdom’s. In Jesus precious name, Amen

I want to leave a gesture of the Bible. Because this Man Jack Wisdom, spread the Gospel to all those around him. He loved God with everything he had. It showed in how he lived his life.

My prayers are with family and friends of Jackie. He was a delight to everyone and a man that truly loved Christ and showed it everyday. It is so hard to let our loved ones go, but I know he is in a better place than any of us today. God is good and will console those left behind to get through this hard time. I love you all, and know the Summerville Clan is thinking and praying for you all.
In Christ Love -

Thank you Jack for accepting me into your family and making me feel like I have always belonged. I am sad for me because you are a large part of my life that I won’t get to experience life with anymore. I am happy and rejoice in the Lord with you that you are now with Jesus which is where you always wanted to be. Not a visit would go by without you saying how you wished today would be the day that the Lord would come. I will remember you and be reminded of you not with the objects you left behind but the family you left behind. Seeing them will always remind me of you. I now await the day I see you again in heaven.

On Wednesday, May 2nd, my Dad went home to be with the Lord. If you knew him, you knew he loved the Lord with all his heart and he was anxiously waiting the day he would get to see Him face to face. He has been waiting for God’s return since I was a little girl. He would look to the skies and just say, “Maybe today?” And then he would smile the biggest of smiles. On Wednesday, he got to see Him, not coming on clouds, but he did get to see His face. I can rejoice in knowing his wait is over. He is home.
He was the best of dads; patient, kind, and silly! He entertained us with his stories of his daily life experiences. He had some doozies! He knew how to find humor in almost everything. He had joy in his heart and it overflowed and filled any room he was in. My sisters, brother and I saw how my Dad (and Mom) weathered the storms of life. They would pray and with a grateful heart they would rejoice in God’s goodness. This was their response in good times too! So as this storm is raining down hard, I will pray and then praise the Lord for giving me my Dad-my earthly father who daily pointed us to our heavenly one. I am ever so grateful!
A song my Dad would spontaneously sing had these lyrics:
I just feel like something good is about to happen,
I just feel like something good is on its way-
I just feel like something good is about to happen, and brother it could be this very day!
Maybe today??

May 2nd I lost my best friend and father. He was my hero and I loved him with all that I had. He lived a victorious life filled with joy and was a giant of a man, both physically and spiritually. He would not want me to post too many details about how he died because he would want everyone to know how he lived. He loved Jesus. The morning of his death, like every morning, he woke up and read the Bible for 2 hours and sang songs to God. My precious mother, the love of his life for 53 years who he was about to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary with (as well as his birthday on May 12th) and I read the Bible every morning as well and each night the three of us would find out what we all read and talked about what we learned. It was the highlight of my day. He has gone home. I am very grateful for everything that he has done to make me the man that I am and I am so glad that I know where he is and where to find him. I am brokenhearted that I have such a gaping hole that will be impossible to fill in this life, but I am so grateful for the time that I had with him. I just selfishly wish I had more.
