Obituary of Joe Steven Miles

Joe Steven Miles of Richland Hills, passed away Tuesday, March 26th in his home. He was born in Corsicana, TX on December 30, 1949.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Ridge Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid-Cities Blvd. North Richland Hills, Friday, April 6 from 6-7pm.

As a child, he was active in the Boy Scouts. A 1968 graduate of Corsicana High School, he attended Navarro Junior College, where he was involved in the choir. He served 6 years in the Army/National Guard as a jumpmaster. He later completed his Associates degree from Tarrant County Community College at 48 years of age. He worked as a water technician for the City of North Richland Hills for approximately 30 years.

He is survived by his daughter “D.D.” Dedra Christly and husband, Michael and their children Seth and Cera; his daughter, Jamie Simpson and husband Ryan; his son Russell Swanson and family; son Darron Swanson and wife; son Skylar Russell and daughter, Kira. He is also survived by his sister Sidney Davis, his sister and brother in-law Sally and Randy Adams, along with several nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Moore Miles; his mother, Ruth Adams Miles, and his father, Seth James Miles Jr.

Joe was a loving brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed dearly.
