I know Barbara passed away in February but didn't find her obituary until today. I live at Atria Hometown in NRH. Barbara taught me to play Canasta. I have loved to play. She was a tough teacher but she taught us the rules of the game and we still adhere to her rules. I am so sorry she has gone from us. I still think she is goin to walk in the Library where we play any minute. God bless her and her family.
Sincerely Ruby Doan3

We'll miss your bright smile, but now you will cause the heavens to light up. May your friends and family be comforted and be strengthened in the knowledge that you now rest in peace, without pain. Our thoughts and prayers continue.

Many of us in Barbara's community of Home Town in North Richland Hills are grateful to her for introducing us to the card game of canasta. Now we have several groups filled with more than players -- we are close friends as well as neighbors. Barbara was the impetus for this, and we are so grateful. Our friendships are a meaningful part of Barbara's legacy. God bless Barbara's family during this time of grief.
