Martha was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 10, 1937.  She was proudly the daughter of George Pearson and Edna Brock Pearson.  Martha earned a degree of P.H.T. (Putting Hubby Through) from Kansas State University.  In May of 1961, she and Ivan with daughters Sheree and Cindy, moved to Houston.  There she bloomed with yet another child, Dennis.  She was very involved with her community and volunteered in her children’s schools.  Martha was also extremely active in Bethany Christian Church, in their office, and in the A.I.A. Women’s Auxiliary for many years.  She loved being with people and making new friends.  She dearly loved her bridge and Canasta groups, which began in the 1970’s and continued with her newest group here in North Richland Hills.  Her Wichita friends were very special as well.

Martha was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn (Bob) Rieffer.  She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ivan; children, Sheree (Mike) West, Cindy Blass, and Dennis Pieratt; three grandsons, Matthew (Nicole) West, Zac and Grant Bolubasz; great-grandson, James Pearson West, and another great-grandchild due this month; and many nieces and nephews.
