Obituary of Charles Ray Prigmore
Charles R. Prigmore, 71, passed away December 19, 2017 after fighting glioblastoma for nearly two years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lilly Bell and Jesse Prigmore, and sisters, Doris, Hope, Bonita and Wanda.
Chuck was born November 9, 1946 and raised in Fort Worth. He married the love of his life on November 26, 1976.
During High School, he was a member of the Poly Marching 100 and played drums in various bands. He was awarded a music scholarship to the former East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas; during which time he continued playing in various bands and teaching young drummers in music stores. Later, he joined the U.S.A.F. and served two tours in the Far East during the Vietnam War. After an honorable discharge at seven years’ service, he attended Texas Wesleyan College and was employed by Xerox Corp. and then Konica-Minolta. He continued playing music in Fort Worth and surrounding communities with esteemed friends and musicians from all walks of life.
Chuck was a light to everyone who met him. Like ripples, his influence on those he loved will resonate in the world forever. He leaves behind a loving family who will dearly miss him. He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Stefan, Nathan and Ryan; daughters, Shannon Kesteloot and Tiffany Lowe; and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ronnie Morrison.
