Obituary of Efrain G. Luna

Efrain G. Luna BEDFORD- - Efrain G. Luna, 57, lost his battle with cancer December 14, 2017, surrounded by his family.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, December 23, 2017. Viewing from 12:00pm - 2:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm at Forest Ridge at Memorial Park, 8525 Mid-Cities Blvd., N.R.H. TX 76182.

Efrain was born on February 8, 1960 in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico to Julia Gomez Luna and Arcadio Luna.  He came to the U.S. in 1974, settling in Southern California, where he met his wife, Cristina Luna. Not long after, he began working as a mechanic in California and later Oregon.  Efrain became a machinist in 1985, working for Menasco in Burbank, CA., eventually relocating to Bedford, TX with his wife and three daughters. 

Efrain enjoyed a rich, 30 year career as a machinist, working for Menasco, H.M. Dunn, Bell Helicopter, and finally Lockheed Martin.  He was admired and respected by his co-workers as the embodiment of hard work.  A gifted mechanic and handyman, Efrain enjoyed working with his hands, especially on his home.  He loved his family more than anything, and was surrounded with their love and support as he bravely battled his illness.

Efrain is survived by his wife, Cristina Luna; daughter, Yvette Pallett; grandson, Dylan Birdsong and granddaughter, Addison Pallett; daughter, Jessica Luna Kasal and son-in-law, Trevor Kasal; daughter, Vanessa Luna Williams and son-in-law, Benjamin Williams; his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
