Stapp, Joe Ann (Covington)

It is with great sadness that the family of Joe Ann (Covington) Stapp announces her passing on Friday December 15, 2017, at the age of 77 years.  Joe Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter in-law, Clint and Dana Stapp, her brother and sister, Rodney V. Covington and Virginia “Ginna” Covington, as well as her extended family and dear friends.  Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents J.D. and Essie (Meyer) Covington, and brothers, Kenneth Covington and Jerry Don Covington.

Born in Greenwood, Texas, Joe Ann graduated from Harding University with a degree in Education.  She had a rewarding career, teaching in public elementary education and later earned her master’s degree from Texas Christian University.  Joe Ann’s life was one of service and bringing joy to others through her career, family and Christian faith.

A celebration of her life will be held with her numerous family and friends at her home in Haltom City, at 4 PM, on Friday, December 22.
