Obituary of Troy Edwin Worthy

 Troy Edwin Worthy (73) passed away on November 3, 2017, at his home in Hurst, Texas. He was born April 23, 1944, to Earl and Opal Worthy of Fort Worth, Texas, who preceded him in death. Mr. Worthy worked as a Certified Public Accountant for more than 40 years and was a retiree of Atlantic Richfield Company of Oil.

A memorial service for Mr. Worthy will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at First United Methodist Church of Hurst. A visitation will follow after the service. Mr. Worthy will be interred at a private family service later in November. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mr. Worthy's honor to Youth Missions at First United Methodist Church of Hurst or the International Council on Development and Learning (ICDL.com). 

 

Mr. Worthy is survived by his wife, Lena Worthy, of Hurst Texas; his daughter Cheryl and her husband Robert Jetzelsberger of North Richland Hills, Texas; his son Thomas and his wife Kelly Worthy of North Richland Hills, Texas; his son Jonathan and his wife Stephanie Worthy of Brooklyn, New York; and his eight grandchildren: Hannah, Mackenzie, Abby, TJ, Eleanor, Henry, Sam, and Charlie. Also surviving Mr. Worthy are his sister Schelia Long of Hurst, Texas; his brother Kenneth Worthy of Granbury, Texas; his brother Charles “Bud” Worthy, and his nephew George Cravens of Fort Worth, Texas.
