Obituary of Troy Crawford

~~Troy Crawford 85, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his bedside on Saturday. September 23, 2017.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Forest Ridge Memorial Park Chapel, 8525 Mid Cities Blvd. in North Richland Hills.  Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 pm Wednesday until service time at 2 pm.  Burial:  Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, TX.

Troy was born June 16, 1932, in Delhi, Oklahoma to Anson Lee and Mary Lee Crawford.   While in college at Sam Houston he became Vice President of the largest FFA and then became President the following year. He proudly served in the U.S.Army.  Troy was the former owner of Crawford Luxury Lawn Co. in Hurst, TX.  Troy taught Shop at Central Junior High School for 18 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buck Crawford and sister, Irma McElroy

Survivors include his wife, Sonja Crawford; daughters, Sharon Salinas, Julia Rose and Deborah Smith; brothers, Monte Crawford, Mervin Crawford and Thel Crawford; sisters, Vera Murray and Kate Robertson; grandchildren, Anson Tex Smith, Shane Christopher Salinas, Shalee Linnae Salinas, Abigail Elise Rose and Mary Isabelle Rose.
