Obituary of Billy Bob Vititow

~~HURST – Bob Vititow, 84, loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather “Pops” and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 24, 2017.
FUNERAL – 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 29th at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 852 W. Bedford Euless Road, Hurst. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway, Hurst.
MEMORIALS- In Lieu of Flowers the Family asks that donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Texas Health Hospital Foundation.
LIFE-Bob was born March 4, 1933 in Hopkins County, the ninth child, to Charles and Lela Vititow. After the passing of his Mother a few days after his birth he went to be raised by his Uncle and Aunt, Clyde and Obelia Randolph of Sulphur Bluff, TX. He graduated from Sulphur Bluff High School. On August 23, 1952, he married Vanda Middlebrooks of Sulphur Bluff. Bob went on to serve in the United States Army from 1953-1955. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Bob and Vanda moved to Garland, TX. During that time, he worked for Ford Motor Company and X-Cell Battery Company. In 1964, they moved to Fort Worth to pursue business opportunities in the Recreational Marine Industry. From 1964-1972 Bob and his brother were partners in Richland Hills Marine. From 1972-1984 Bob was the principal owner of V & V Distributing Company. From 1991 until he retired in 1999 Bob was the principal owner of a V & V Marine Products. Even after retirement he remained active and highly respected in the industry for many years.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Vanda Vititow, his Uncle Clyde and Aunt Obelia Randolph, his parents Charles and Lela Vititow, and seven brothers and sisters.
SURVIVORS-Son, Robert Vititow and wife, Donna of Hurst, daughters Sandi Kilgore and husband, Norman, of Lakeside, Shelli Cantrell and husband, Kelley, of Haslet and Kelli Sluder and husband, Malcolm, of Flower Mound, sister Kelly (Myrtle Lou) Smircich, of Auburn, CA; grandchildren Brandon Vititow, Tiffany Vititow-Rubenkoenig, Cody and Casey Kilgore, Charlotte, Caroline, and Connor Sluder, Briley and Katelyn Cantrell, April Palmer and Chad Bodkin and 16 great-grandchildren
