Obituary of Donald Gray Porter

Donald G. Porter passed away Tuesday July 18, 2017. 

He was born on August 5, 1934 in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 21, at Forest Ridge Funeral Home, 705 Airport Freeway  from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m., burial is private for family only.

Don was preceded in death by his mother, Melba Milstead, brother, Rodger Porter, and son, Ronnie Porter.  In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Fort Worth Animal Shelter in Donalds name.

Don worked for Safeway Grocery Stores as a Manager for 37 years, then as a manager for Burris Grocery Stores for 10 years.  Don enjoyed country western music and dancing.  He also enjoyed traveling.  Don was fun loving and easy going.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife of 63 years Latrell Porter; son, Danny and wife Mary Porter of Nocona, Texas; grandson, Travis and wife Heather Porter of Elk City, Oklahoma and grandson, Chad Porter of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Arielle Porter of Dallas, Texas; great grandchildren, Gage, Klandia and Ella Porter of Elk City, Oklahoma.
