Obituary of George W. Hicks

Memorial services for George W. Hicks (91) of Granbury will be 3:00p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Forest Ridge Memorial Park Chapel.  George passed away July 12, 2017 in Granbury.  He was born December 21, 1925 to Velva and Ada Mae Hicks in Fredricktown, MO.   Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years, Jean Hicks of Granbury, sons Gerry Hicks and his wife Debbie of Granbury, David Hicks and his wife Susan of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Stephen Hicks and his wife Andrea of Arlington grandchildren Kyle, Amanda, Gregg, and Casey and great-grandchild Hadley.  George is preceded in death by his parents and sister Naomi Hann.  George lived with his family in Hurst for 55 years, worked as a corporate pilot for 40 years, and served as an ordained Baptist Deacon for 55 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Alz.org.
